Cerabeta is barley beta-glucan from 100% Canadian non-GMO barley, with nothing else added.

Barley beta-glucan is a soluble fiber found naturally in barley grains. Three tablespoons of Cerabeta give you 3 grams of it, the amount in the FDA-recognized health claim for barley: 3 grams of barley beta-glucan a day, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.

Each tablespoon (4.4 grams) of Cerabeta contains:

• Total Dietary Fiber: 1.7 grams
  • Soluble Fiber (Barley Beta-Glucan): 1.0 gram
  • Insoluble Fiber: 0.7 grams
• Protein: 0.6 grams
• Starch: 1.7 grams
• Other Components (minerals, moisture): 0.3 grams
• Calories: about 13 per tablespoon

A serving of 3 tablespoons (13.2 grams) gives you 5 grams of total dietary fiber (3 grams soluble), 2 grams of protein and 40 calories.

Natural Processing Method

Cerabeta is made with a patented air classification process. This gentle method separates barley beta-glucan from the grain without chemicals or enzymes, preserving the beta-glucan's natural structure, antioxidants and other nutrients. Some naturally occurring starch remains in the final product, so Cerabeta keeps the nutritional value of whole barley grains.

Cerabeta is made from 100% Canadian non-GMO barley. While it is not certified organic, the barley we source is carefully selected and tested to meet strict standards for purity. Cerabeta is tested for pesticides, heavy metals (cadmium, lead, mercury and arsenic) and contaminants such as mycotoxins. Our barley is grown without glyphosate (Roundup) and is allowed to dry down naturally before harvest. Our goal is always to deliver a clean, effective product to our customers.
